Mission:
The mission of the Network for a Healthy California--Central Valley Region is to create innovative partnerships so that food stamp eligible residents of the Central Valley are empowered to adopt healthy eating and physical activity patterns as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Through the University of California Cooperative Extension, Fresno County (UCCE), the Network administers the Regional California Campaigns including:
- Network for a Healthy California - Children's Power Play! Campaign
- Network for a Healthy California--Latino Campaign
- Network for a Healthy California-- African American Campaign
- Network for A Healthy California- Worksite Wellness Program
- Physical Activity
The Network strives to achieve its mission through a collaborative partnership with over 100 public health organizations throughout the Central Valley.

Though not a part of the Network, Project LEAN also partners in working to improve the health and nutrition of Central Valley residents.
The Network also works cooperatively with other UCCE
Nutrition, Family and Consumer Sciences programs to further the goals and objectives of the Network.
