Central Valley Nutrition Network Expert Reference Sheet

This Expert Reference Sheet contains all the contact information of the Central Valley Nutrition Network's in-house nutrition experts.  The Expert Reference Sheet is designed to be a media resource for sources, story ideas, quotes or fact-checkers.  In addition to general nutrition and physical activity information, several of the experts specialize in resources for Latino and African-American communities. For a copy of the Expert Reference Sheet contact Communications Coordinator Jamie Gard at (559) 456-7134 or via email at jkgard@ucdavis.edu. 

Central Valley Nutrition Network Media Coverage

  • The Central Valley 5 a Day - Power Play! Campaign has been featured on Valley television stations

    KFSN Channel 30 and KMPH Channel 26

  • Power Play! Food Demonstrations and the Student and Teacher Day at Garden of the Sun were featured on KMPH Ten O'clock News (Fresno Fox affiliate, Channel 40).
  • Fresno NBC affiliate KSEE 24, featured the 5 a Day - Power Play! Campaign food demonstrations on their morning program.  Staff presented two food demos on LIVE television!

Health News Review

A new web site, www.healthnewsreview.org, is now available.  The free resource allows consumers and practitioners to get information and evaluate evidence as reported by major news outlets.  The site is funded by the Foundation for Informed Medical Decision Making.
