The Network for a Healthy California--Central Valley Region is proud to present the Physical Activity component to nutrition education. In conjunction with the Children's Power Play!, Latino, African American Campaigns and the Worksite Program, we strive to promote physical activity with nutrition education, encourage healthier living, and help food stamp eligible families in the Central Valley discover the joy of being physically active.

Mission:

To increase healthy eating, physical activity, sun safety and other protective behaviors that prevent cancer and other chronic diseases while improving the health of all Californians.

Goals:

1. Improve families' knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to fruit and vegetable consumption and physical activity.

2. Support environmental change so that practicing these behaviors is both easy and acceptable.

The Network for a Healthy California--Central Valley Region physical activity and nutrition education, in conjunction with the various Campaigns, is a resource for food stamp eligible families and community organizations committed to improving health and wellness through nutrition and physical activity.
