The Network for a Healthy California Campaigns include:
Children's Power Play! Campaign
The Children's Power Play! Campaign is a statewide nutrition education program funded by the Network for a Healthy California through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Stamp Program. The Central Valley Region Campaign is housed at the University of California Cooperative Extension Office in Fresno. Please feel free to contact Stephanie Sharp, Program Coordinator at (559) 456-7560 if you have any questions.
The Latino Campaign is a public health initiative led by the California Department of Health Services and administered by the Public Health Institute in cooperation with the Network for a Healthy California Program of the National Cancer Institute. Its purpose is to empower low-income Latino adults and their families to consume the recommended amount of fruit and vegetables and enjoy physical activity every day. The Campaign also works with communities throughout California to create environments where these behaviors are socially supported and accessible. The healthy eating and physical activity objectives are designed to reduce the risks of chronic diseases, especially cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. Please feel free to contact Eustolia Zamora-Bonilla, Program Coordinator at (559) 456-7551 if you have any questions.
The African American Campaign is designed to improve the health of the low-income African American community by providing education, advocacy, and policy development about healthy eating and physical activity. The Central Valley Region Campaign is contracted to the West Fresno Health Care Coalition. Please feel free to contact Yolanda Randles, Program Coordinator at (559) 264-7185 if you have any questions.

- Maximize Local Impact -- The Network provides training, coordination and communications support to all Network-funded projects and other stakeholders in the region.
- Mobilize Community Action - Each region includes a Regional Collaborative - individuals, organizations, advocates, community leaders, businesses and others with expertise in nutrition, physical activity, hunger prevention/food security, and under-served communities. The Network provides administrative support to the Regional Collaboratives and facilitate advocacy initiatives to help change policies and the environment in low-income neighborhoods.
- Reach Out with Campaigns and Programs -- The Network for a Healthy California implements the regional campaigns that focus on special populations, primarily those who are low-income, food stamp eligible.
