Program Description
Shannon Mueller has been a farm advisor in Fresno County for the past 15 years. She conducts a research and education program dealing with the production of alfalfa hay, seed alfalfa, dry beans (blackeyes, limas, and garbanzos), oilseed crops (safflower), and pollination. Her goal is to provide clientele with up-to-date, practical, and economic information to improve their production practices. Needs assessments are conducted periodically to make sure the program is addressing priority needs of the industry. In the sections below, recent and current alfalfa research projects are described and a list of resource material is available on line or by contacting her directly. Newsletters are sent periodically to provide information regarding current issues or to announce upcoming meetings.
