Adult Nutrition Education Program for Low-Income Parents

Provides FREE practical lessons on:

• Choosing and preparing healthy meals. 

• Ways to save money on food.

• Food safety.

• Healthy lifestyle habits, like daily physical activity.

• Parenting skills, like getting kids to eat healthy food.


Parents receive:

• 8 weekly lessons in English, Spanish, Hmong, or Laotian.

• Recipe demonstrations and tasting.

• Lesson items to practice new habits, like food thermometers.

• Cookbook and Physical Activity Booklet in English or Spanish.

• Certificate of Participation.


Agencies:

• Provide a place to teach eligible class participants.

• Assist in recruitment and attendance.

• Empower their clients with positive life skills!
